The Winfield-Mt. Union and Highland boys and girls track teams competed Tuesday at the Dave Aamodt Relays at Mediapolis. The Bulldog boys won their home meet with 132 points. Winfield-Mt. Union had the better area boys team finish with 46 points, taking fourth place. Top finishes for the Wolves included Noah Sparrow third in the 800, Sheadan Adams third in the two-mile, Cam Buffington third in the long jump, third for the 4×800 team of Sparrow, Kohlby Newsom, Lane Scorpil and Gabe Hemsworth and third for the shuttle hurdle team of Ty Scorpil, Jacob Haines, Lane Scorpil and Hemsworth.

Highland was eighth of eight teams with 17 points. The Huskies had Devin Lovetinsky finish third in the shot put.

The Lady Wolves were sixth with 51 points in the team standings. Danville and West Burlington finished in the top spot with 81 points. WMU had three championship events on the night with Keetyn Townsley winning the 100 hurdles in 17.08 seconds, Jobey Malone winning the shot put with a throw of 36’4″ and a champion shuttle hurdle relay of Townsley, Kayreanna Sharar, Josie Nelson, and Morgan Grelk with a time of 1:15.12.

The Highland girls were seventh of eight teams with 43 points. The Huskies had a pair of championship events with Sarah Burton winning the long jump, clearing 17’2.25″. She was part of the championship 4×200 team along with Katelyn Waters, Grace Prybil and McFarland with their winning time of 1:54.99.
