A Cedar Rapids woman was arrested Wednesday for her second violation of probation on a felony case in Washington County.

Court records show a warrant was issued for 32-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Shaw who was convicted in May 2018 of possession with intent to deliver less than five grams of methamphetamine, a class C felony. Shaw was initially arrested in September 2017 after a controlled buy operation was conducted in the city of Washington a year prior. Through a plea agreement a second count was dismissed and she was given a suspended 10 year prison sentence to be placed on five years of probation. She was then found to have violated her probation in June of 2019 and was ordered to continue her probation and be placed at a residential correctional facility. Shaw gave her first court appearance Thursday and was ordered to be held on $10,000 cash or surety bail. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
