The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams are back on the course tonight against the Tipton Tigers in River Valley Conference action. The Golden Hawk boys are coming off of a loss to West Branch Monday 151-221. Mid-Prairie was led in the match by Warren Scarff’s 46. On the season, Mid-Prairie has a nine-hole average of 216 and is led by sophomore Drew Schlabaugh’s 51 average.
Tipton is coming off of a fourth place finish with a team score of 360 at the Solon Invitational at Lake MacBride Golf Course on Wednesday, led by Bob Ryan’s 18 hole score of 80. On the year, the Tigers have a 162 team average per nine holes. They are led by Ryan’s 37 average. Tipton beat the Golden Hawks last season 163-202.
The Mid-Prairie girls are coming off of a Monday win over West Branch 211-219 on the strength of a round of 50 Madi Davidson. On the season, the Golden Hawks are shooting a 215 team average per nine holes, led by Gabi Robertson’s 55 nine-hole average.
The Tipton girls have not played since March 28th when they were beaten 257-259 by Wilton. Kaitlyn Curry had the low score at the meet with a 54. Last year Mid-Prairie beat the Tigers in a dual 238-248. Elliot Debler had the low score for the Golden Hawks with a 60. Action begins in both duals at 4p.m. With the boys in Kalona and the girls at Tipton.
