
It was a tough day at the office for the Highland soccer team on Friday when they welcomed Wapello to Riverside and fell in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference battle by a 10-1 score.
The Indians (1-4) found the back of the net four times in the opening half and six more in the final 40 minutes to break the game open. Daniel Perez went off for a monstrous seven goals to lead the road squad. Highland dropped to 0-4 and they are back on the pitch tonight against Danville. The Bears are 0-1 after opening the campaign with a 3-0 loss to Mediapolis on Friday.
