Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Sunday evening.

The Washington County Communications Center states the incident occurred at about 6:43 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 22 and Kiwi Avenue west of Kalona. Washington County Ambulance Service transported two people to Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Elmer Brenneman was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Kalona Fire and QRS, and Bulltown Towing assisted at the scene.
