A Kalona man who was to be tried this April for felony domestic abuse was arrested Saturday morning for pretrial release violations.

The Washington County Communications Center states an arrest warrant was executed for 33-year-old Daniel Michael Thomas who was already in custody at the Washington County Jail. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety. Court documents show Thomas violated his pretrial release conditions as he was arrested on March 3rd for three counts of violating a no contact order. Thomas is charged with domestic abuse assault, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, for an April 30, 2021 incident. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
