Marengo was the destination for the Sigourney girls’ track team on Monday for the Ruth Ahrens Invite and the Savages had a fourth place showing.
They tallied 72 points to rank fourth out of eight teams while North Mahaska won with 108. Reanah Utterback was a champ in the 3000m run clocking in at 14:17 and the freshman was also second in the 1500m (6:32). Macy Fisch took care of the field events winning the shot put with a heave of 33’0.5’’. Rain Barthelman was runner-up in the 400m hurdles (1:18), shuttle hurdle relay second (1:19), and Carly Goodwin was third in the 800m (2:51).
Sigourney gets back at it Thursday in Lisbon.
