A fatal two-vehicle wreck occurred in the city of Riverside Friday morning.

Iowa State Patrol states at about 9:20 a.m. 48-year-old Madhu S. Niraula of Cedar Rapids was driving a Nissan Sentra westbound on Highway 22 or South Hickory Street near the 600 block while 26-year-old Wade A. Bower of Wellman was driving a Dodge Ram truck that was pulling a trailer with an oversized shed eastbound. Niraula’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the front left corner of the shed after impact. The Nissan then crossed the roadway and struck the front porch of a residence on the south side of the road. Niraula was transported by Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral Home to the state medical examiner’s office. The incident remains under investigation. Riverside Fire and Rescue, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa Department of Transportation also assisted at the scene. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
