Racking up the wins against Southeast Conference competition is exactly what the Washington golf teams have accomplished in the first part of the season and that continued on Thursday with another sweep of league foes.

The Demon girls were at Elks Fairview Golf Course in Keokuk and while Fairfield closed the gap on the perennial champs, the orange and black still won with a nine-hole score of 195. The Trojans came in second with a 205. Makenna Conrad and Kaylin Long notched fourth and fifth place with matching scores of 45, Alecia Goff shot a 52, and Maci Williams tallied a 53. Other Demon scores included Mallary Johnson 54 and Haley Mitchell 68.

The boys were in Mount Pleasant for another bout against the SEC and the Demons won their second straight with a 177 to best the second place Panthers with a 182. Roman Roth and Grant Sobaski paced the team with 43s on the windy evening, Teague Mayer was right behind with 44, Isaac Vetter 47, John Prochaska 48, and Luke Beenblossom 50.

Both Washington squads return to action today with the boys at home and the girls in Mount Pleasant.
