Home or away, the links belonged to the Washington Demons on Monday. The Washington boys golf team defended their home course with a team round of 172. Fairfield was runner-up with a 182. Sophomore Roman Roth led the way for the Demons with a 39. Other Washington scores included Isaac Vetter 42, Luke Beenblossom 45, Teague Mayer 46, Grant Sobaski 49 and John Prochaska 52. The Demon boys are at home again for their next meet when they host the Washington Invitational Saturday.

On the road, the Demon girls beat the field at Mount Pleasant with a team score of 198, topping second place Burlington’s 206. Makenna Conrad had a team best score of 44. Other Demon tallies included Alecia Goff 45, Kaylin Long 51, Mallary Johnson 58, Maci Williams 59 and Haley Mitchell 61. The Demon girls are on the course Thursday at Oskaloosa.
