The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcat soccer team scored their second win of the week on Tuesday, taking out Sigourney-Keota 5-1 on the road. The ‘Cats were not slowed down playing back-to-back nights. After beating Highland Monday in Columbus Junction 6-1, they scored the first three goals against the Cobras on Tuesday to open a 3-0 halftime advantage. The Wildcats scored twice more after break and SK broke up the shut out with a Ty Shafranek goal after half on an assist from Matt Brainard. Brock Alderson saved 23 of 28 shots the Wildcats sent his way. Columbus is now 3-2 on the year, Sigourney-Keota is 1-4.
