Wednesday morning, Washington County authorities arrested 36-year-old Trevor Andrew Clinton of Cedar Rapids. Clinton had a warrant for probation violation on initial felony charges of aiding and abetting false claim of jackpot and forgery stemming from May 2021 incidents in which he attempted to claim jackpots under a false identity and have others claim jackpots he had won at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. His five-year prison sentences were suspended this February in lieu of three years of probation and a $1,025 fine. He was also barred for life from excursion gambling boats and structures in Iowa.

His probation violations stem from an arrest last week for first-degree theft, a class C felony and possession of controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony in Cedar Rapids where he was in possession of a trailer stolen from Washington County, valued at approximately $15,000. Officers then found a baggie of what appeared to be methamphetamine in the back of the squad car where Clinton had been detained. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
