Defending their home course is exactly what the Highland boys’ golf team accomplished on Monday by picking up Southeast Iowa Super Conference victories over Columbus Community at Blue Top Ridge. 

The boys handled business by shooting a nine-hole score of 189 while the Wildcats finished with 229. Chase Schultz garnered meet-medalist honors with a 41, Kaige Vonnahme was runner-up with 48, Peyton Yeggy 50, and Trevor McFarland 50. Robert Coil and Cole Storm had the top Columbus rounds with matching 54s, Ryan Coil finished with 60, and Grant Watson 61. 

Highland will host a triangular tonight and both teams also gear up for the conference meet tomorrow in Fort Madison.
