The Hillcrest Academy boys golf team travels to Green Acres Country Club in Donnellson today for a weekend 18-hole invitational hosted by Central Lee. Hillcrest has been off since Wednesday’s Superconference championship meet in Fort Madison where the Ravens finished seventh of 11 schools with their score of 383. Liam Schrock led Hillcrest on the day, taking ninth in the Superconference with his round of 88. On the season, the Ravens have a 201 average per nine holes, led by Jace Rempel at 49 and followed by Liam Schrock at 50, Luke Schock 52, Josiah Beachy 55 and Alex Niemeyer 61.

Joining Hillcrest in Donnellson today are Burlington Notre Dame with their 368 average per 18 holes led by Kaleb Allen’s 78, Davis County with their 366 18 hole average paced by Easton White at 85, Fort Madison with their 372 18 hole average led by Tyler Wade’s 85, Holy Trinity Catholic and their 222 average per nine holes with Blake Hemann leading the way at 51, Keokuk with a 378 18 hole average and Jordan Sisk’s 87 as the leader, Van Buren’s team average 367 over 18 with a leading card 87 from TJ Jirak and the home Hawks with their 420 18 hole average and team leader Keating Fuger at 102.

Hillcrest finished fifth of seven teams at this event a year ago with their team score of 391 with Jace Rempel the leading returner on a round of 89. Action continues all day Saturday in the Central Lee Invitational.
