Agencies responded to a couple vehicle wrecks in Washington County over the weekend.
The first occurred at about 9:04 a.m. Friday near 2735 Highway 92 east of Washington. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office states Robert Anderson of Ainsworth was driving a silver Ford Focus westbound when witnesses advised the Ford entered the north ditch and rolled several times. One occupant was ejected and later transported by Washington County Ambulance Service to the Washington County Hospital emergency room. Ainsworth and Washington Fire and QRS agencies and Moore’s Towing also responded to the scene.
At about 5:08 p.m. Saturday, a two-vehicle collision occurred on West Madison Street near Marion Avenue in Washington. No medical transports were given and 81-year-old Billie Joy Donovan of Washington was issued a written warning for failure to obey a traffic control device. Moore’s Towing removed both vehicles from the scene. Washington Police and EMS, Washington County Ambulance, and a Washington County Conservation officer all responded to the scene.
