The Wellman City Council voted to raise compensation for city workers at a recent session. Council approved a $1.50 per hour raise for public works, city office staff, the water operator and skating rink manager. This increase is in effect for the remainder of the 2022 fiscal year with a resolution for an additional increase to be reviewed in June.
