Today is the start of the second season for KCII area boys golf teams when sectional tournaments commence. At each site, the top two teams, unless one is the host team, then top three, and the top two individuals plus ties advance to districts Monday.

The Washington Demons start the 3A postseason today in Fort Madison at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course against the likes of Clear Creek Amana, Fairfield, Keokuk, Mount Pleasant, Burlington Notre Dome, Solon and the home Bloodhounds. Districts will be played at Vinton-Shellsburg.

Mid-Prairie travels to Tipton for a 2A event where they will meet Durant, Louisa-Muscatine, Mediapolis, Iowa City Regina, West Branch, Wilton and the home Tigers. Districts will be played at Mediapolis.

Hillcrest travels to a 1A sectional site at English Valleys to face area schools Highland and Lone Tree along with HLV, Iowa Valley, Tri-County and the home Bears. At Deerwood Golf Course in New London, Columbus, Keota, and Winfield-Mt. Union will hit the links against Danville, Holy Trinity Catholic, Wapello and the home Tigers while the Sigourney Savages go to Prairie Knolls in New Sharon to take on Lynnville-Sully, Martensdale-St. Marys, Melcher-Dallas, Moravia, Southeast Warren and the home Warhawks. Districts will be played at Pleasant Valley in Iowa City.
