In the final run through before the conference meet today, a couple of Washington girls’ golfers competed in the makeup Ottumwa tournament yesterday on a hot afternoon to play.

Half of the team was absent due to other school activities so the Demons did not post a team score, but they did have a top 10 finish. Kaylin Long placed sixth overall by shooting an 18-hole score of 94. Mallary Johnson also hit the links by tallying a 115 to place 16th. All six golfers will be ready to go today at the Southeast Conference meet in Burlington. The regular season SEC Champion Demons hit the course at Flint Hills last week where they placed second at the Grayhound Invite. The team ranks first in the league coming in with a 363 average for 18-holes led by Makenna Conrad’s average of 82.

The conference tournament commences at 9 a.m. this morning in Burlington.
