A Wayland restaurant will detour from their regular menu Thursday night in order to help the Wayland Economic Development raise money for a new childcare facility.  

The yet-to-be-named Wayland area childcare center is scheduled to open in early 2023, which received a state grant of $505,450 earlier this year to add 49 childcare slots from infants to early childcare. Your Choice Restaurant Owner Sira Curfman hopes area families will have dinner at their childcare center fundraiser before their Memorial Day weekend plans, “Last year we did a Memorial Day breakfast. We teamed up with the Wayland Economic Development Group and this year we decided that not a lot of people were in town for Memorial Day weekend.This year we are doing a free will donation that includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, whole hog sausage.”

The Pre-Memorial Day Breakfast will be served from 5-8 pm Thursday night. Your Choice Restaurant is located at 202 East Highway 78 in Wayland.
