Before the book signing at Cafe Dodici, nationally renowned author Rachelle Chase will be giving a free presentation today at the Washington Public Library to discuss her new book “Lost Buxton”. Library Director Cary Ann Siegfried says that this presentation today is a can’t miss event.

“I think the research that she’s done on Buxton which doesn’t exist anymore is fascinating, and she’ll be talking about her books Lost Buxton and Creating the Black Utopia of Buxton, Iowa. From what I understand she will also be sharing some new research that you possibly can’t find in the books.”

That event will be from 6:00-7:00pm in the Community Room before making her appearance at Cafe Dodici for a meet and greet book signing.
