It took awhile for the offense to get going, but when it did, it never stopped for the Columbus Community softball team on Thursday when they downed Mediapolis 11-0 in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup.
The Wildcats led just 1-0 in the fourth when the bats exploded for a prosperous crooked number frame of 10 and the door was shut on the Bulldogs (4-11). Columbus tallied nine hits led by Libby White going 2-for-3 with three RBI and Jocelyn Fulton was 2-for-2 with two runs knocked in. White got the win in the circle twirling all five frames surrendering just three hits and one walk.
The blue and white moved to 8-9 overall and 6-6 in the league.
