Second time through the Southeast Conference slate, the Washington summer teams return to action tonight with a short drive to Mount Pleasant for a doubleheader. 

The Demon softball team is coming off of three days rest and look for the season sweep against the Panthers after outscoring their opponent 31-7 in a pair of games earlier this month. The Demons are 8-15 overall, 5-7 in the SEC, and have won five of seven. Leighton Salazar has a .464 average with 10 RBI and Bella Salazar leads the group in the circle with a 4.3 ERA in 59 innings of work. Mount Pleasant is 2-16, 0-12 in the league, with Kynlee White being their top hitter managing a .342 average. The team has a collective 7.7 earned run average. 

Washington baseball has won two of three and sit at 4-10 overall with a 2-8 league mark. Kole Williams leads the bats with a .390 average and 12 runs knocked in while Ethan Patterson has yet to surrender an earned run on the hill in 14 2/3 innings. The Panthers are 5-11, 4-8 in conference, and split with the Demons back on June 2nd. Their offense has just a .207 batting average, but pitching is at a collective 4.91 ERA. Ben Newton has tossed 22 frames and sits at a 0.95 ERA.
