Kalona Mayor Mark Robe is hosting a classic car cruise Saturday, June 25. Along with the Corn Country Cruisers and Classy Chassis Car Clubs, the Mayor invites other car enthusiasts to join in the fun.
Participants should line up at the Sinclair Tractor lot at 4:30 p.m. with an anticipated parade start of 5:00 p.m. The parade will go through town passing by Pleasantview Home and wrap up at the KCTC lot where everyone can get a close up look at the vehicles.
Although not driving a classic car in the parade, Robe says, “I actually don’t own a classic car, I get to be the joy of any young boy’s life, and I get to ride in a fire truck.”
This is the 3rd year for the event. Mayor Robe started this event in 2020 during the pandemic as a chance for citizens to get out of their house for a while and still be safe.
