The 14th annual Short Peterseim Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, June 28 at the Kalona Golf Club and will benefit Hospice of Washington County. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome to participate with the format being a four person best shot with $280 registration for a team of four. Prizes will also be awarded to the top three finishers, longest putt and shortest to the pin.
The tournament is in honor of Short Peterseim, a former funeral director in the Kalona area. Assistant Director of Hospice in Washington County Jina Witthoft says that this event will greatly benefit their non-profit. “All of our fundraisers including the golf tournament are used for patient services. We turn no one away due to lack of payment. We are a non-profit so we use these fundraisers as a way to provide services to our patients and their families.”
The two shotgun starts will be at 8:30am & 1:30pm on Tuesday and if you have any questions about the event you can call Hospice of Washington County.
