The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested thirty-one-year-old Tiashanna Jennings of Coon Rapids, Minnesota  for child endangerment, OWI 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia on Tuesday morning. She also had a warrant for probation violations out of Polk County. The warrant stems from an initial incident in June 2015 where she used her nails to cut an officer during a traffic stop.

During the stop the officer on scene noted that Jennings showed signs of alcohol and drug impairment. She submitted to a preliminary breath test but was under .08. A glass pipe with marijuana residue and a grinder were found in the front passenger seat under a bag.

Jennings had her 8-year-old daughter in the back seat, and told police that they were headed back to Minnesota from Mississippi. Officials sat with the daughter until the grandmother of the child showed up to get her.

The preliminary hearing for Jennings is scheduled for July 1st  at 11:00 AM at the Washington County Courthouse, and she is being held on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
