Washington Board of Supervisors met in Regular Session on Tuesday.

They approved the liquor license renewal for AmVets Post 107 and the Class E liquor license application for Four Corners Fuel. The county employee wage recommendations and the wage schedule were approved, along with the distribution of County Funds for recycling, various grants, and a budget adjustment for Public Health.

The second reading of the new Flood Plain Ordinance was unanimously approved. However, Supervisor Marcus Fedler still has reservations about the new ordinance. “The sections that reference it and the codes themselves are just interesting to me because of how difficult it will be to interpret what we’re supposed to do. I wish there was a way we could opt out of it, but I don’t see a way to do that, unfortunately.” Fedler had raised his concerns about the perceived “vagueness” in the ordinance at the June 21st meeting but still approved the first reading of the new ordinance.

Next week’s Board of Supervisors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 am in the Washington Courthouse basement.
