The latest chapter of the Washington and Mid-Prairie baseball rivalry is scheduled for Wednesday in Wellman when the Demons pay the Golden Hawks a visit. The Demons are hitting .234 collectively with four players over .300 led by Kole Williams at .379 with 25 hits and 19 RBI. Mid-Prairie is 14-10 after an 11-3 win in Cedar Rapids over Bellevue Tuesday. The Golden Hawks are hitting .287 this year with six over .300 led by Cain Brown at .364 with 28 hits and 28 runs scored. Dylan Henry has 22 RBI. The Golden Hawk staff ERA is 4.17 led by Brock Harland at 2.10 with a 3-1 record. Bowen Burmeister, Karson Grout, Collin Miller and Brady Weber all have multiple wins. Washington has won eight of the last 10 in the series including five straight with a 5-4 win last season. Mid-Prairie’s last victory against the Demons came in 2015.
