The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call that a wanted man was seen on the premises of The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort on Wednesday at 9:56 pm. Forty-three-year-old Kenneth Mourton of Ottumwa was arrested for a warrant out of Jefferson City, Missouri.

The warrant was for a charge of distributing, delivering, producing, or an attempt to or possess with intent to distribute, deliver, manufacture, a controlled substance. This is a Class C Felony in Missouri and can carry a maximum prison sentence of ten years and could also carry a fine of up to $10,000.

Mourton was transported to the Washington County Jail. No bond has been issued, and the extradition proceedings are underway. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
