The Fourth of July Fireworks Show will take place in Washington at the Fairgrounds, starting around 9 pm. It is recommended that people arrive early if they want a seat at the main grandstand. Guest can bring their own chair if they desire.

This will be the first show in Washington for Platte River Displays of Wisconsin, which were approved as the new vendor by the City Council in April. City Administrator Deanna McCusker shared that she spoke with the Linn County Fair board and a couple of other cities where the company has worked, who all gave positive recommendations. The show figures to be around 16 minutes long, an improvement from the previous shows that went about 9-12 minutes.
