At the June 21st City Council meeting, a workshop was held to discuss possible parking and street regulations changes. Most of the discussed potential changes centered on removing parking spaces from downtown or marking areas as no parking zones. However, the first two items that were discussed related to the installation of new stop signs.

One of these stop signs would be placed eastbound near South 12th Ave, while the other sign would be placed at Old Hwy 1 and North Marion Ave for Northwest bound traffic. The current stop sign for Northbound traffic on North Marion Ave. would remain.

Mayor Jaron Rosien, during the June 21st meeting, said he did not want to rush into any decisions regarding any possible changes to avoid any unforeseen problems. Mayor Rosien also advised that the other members of the Council go out and inspect the location of these potential changes before the July 5th meeting. The proposed changes will be discussed at the July 5th City Council meeting.
