The Washington County will open up next Sunday, July 17th, over at the Washington Fairgrounds and will run until Friday, July 22nd. One of the new shows running from Monday through Thursday will be the West Texas Rattlesnake show which will open up with two shows on Monday the 18th and run three shows from July 19th-July 21st.

The show will be hosted by “Rattlesnake” Dave Richardson, who will be in a contained area with the snakes providing educational insight about these venomous snakes. Kurt Dallmeyer, the Vice President of the Washington County Fair Board, gave KCII a preview of the show.

“The West Texas Rattlesnakes is a new show, and those’ll be around a 30-minute show at the 4-H Hall. The show will be under a roof and in the shade, and the Rattlesnakes come fresh from Texas, and he gets new snakes every other week, so that show should be really exciting.”

Tickets for the fair can be purchased at the Washington County Extension Office, Washington Chamber of Commerce, Fareway, or at the fair entrance gate. For more updates about the Washington County Fair, you can follow the Washington County Fair Association on Facebook.
