The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested twenty-one-year-old Eric Copeland of Crawfordsville at his home in Crawfordsville Wednesday at 7:18 am. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant and charged Copeland with possession with intent to deliver marijuana less than 50KG and failure to affix a tax stamp.
Both of these charges are Class D felonies, carrying a possible five-year prison sentence with a $7,500 fine. Copeland also had a warrant out of Henderson County, Illinois, for possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
No bond has been set for Copeland, and he is currently being held at the Washington County Jail, with his initial hearing set for July 15th at 10:30 am at the Washington County Courthouse. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
