The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested fifty-four-year-old Jerry Leroy Lown of Cedar Rapids for driving while barred Wednesday at 1:26 am. There are also two impending charges against Lown pending lab results from the Division of Criminal Investigation.
The first pending charge is possession of a dangerous weapon, with the second charge being possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. The latter carries a minimum charge of a Class D felony that could have a five-year prison sentence with a fine of approximately $13,000. Both charges will not be filed or dismissed until after the results from the DCI Lab.
Lown is currently being held at the Washington County Jail; KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
