A West Chester Man pleaded guilty in Keokuk County court on felony drug charges. Thirty-six year old Justin Wayne Milam, was fined $1,025 dollars and given five-years of probation on a suspended sentence for Possession of Controlled Substance, methamphetamine, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony.

These charges stem from a September 2021 traffic stop initiated by the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Department on Highway 92 near Harper when Milam, operating a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, was stopped for speeding. During the traffic stop, the Deputy saw drug paraphernalia on the center console and initiated a search of the vehicle, locating methamphetamine. Milam has been released into the custody of the community supervision program.
