The Iowa Girls Coaches Association named a pair of Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls soccer players to their Academic All-State teams.

Senior Esther Hughes recognized. The forward finished the year eighth in Class 1A with 26 goals scored to go along with six assists and 86 shots on goal.

Senior Lilou Beachy was also selected. She was a member of the Golden Hawk defense that allowed just 29 goals all season.

In order to be named IGCA All-State, student athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.75 with an ACT score of 27 or greater.

Mid-Prairie finished the year with a 9-6 overall record.
