The Washington County Fair grandstand has already hosted several events at the fair, including a pair of tractor pulls and the rodeo and will be putting on the demolition derby today at 7:30 pm. This year’s derby will feature several divisions, including small weld compacts, total weld stocks, and a full-size class. The newest addition to this year’s demolition derby will be the mini-van division which will be a winner take all division with only one competitor getting a part of the over $7,000 prize pool.

Washington Fair Board Vice President Kurt Dallmeyer talks about adding this newest class. “This year, we were able to bring in a mini-van division, and we’re sure it’s going to be a crowd favorite seeing a normal soccer om minivan get smashed up.”

Entry for the event will be covered with the purchase of any fair ticket, and the derby is set to begin at 7:30 pm at the main grandstand at the Washington Fair Grounds.
