The Washington County Fair held its annual talent search yesterday at the Washington Community Center. The night featured eighteen talented dancers and singers, split amongst the senior and sprout categories.

Adra Cargill of Mt. Pleasant took the top spot in the sprout division, who tapped danced her way to the Iowa State Fair. Taking home second place and qualifying for the state fair was Layken Lee of South English and Charlee Read of Washington in third place.

In the senior division, Chayse Gilchrist of Fairfield won with a contemporary dance solo. Kaelyn Townsley of Winfield also qualified for the state fair, finishing second, and Carter Hayden of Blairstown rounded out the podium spots.

Ava Kloppe, the 2021 State Fair Sprouts Champion, also made an appearance at the show, with a special contemporary dance solo to close out the show.
