Five Winfield-Mt. Union softball players received postseason recognition from the Southeast Iowa Super Conference being named all conference.
Three players were named to the second team in Makiah Lower as a pitcher, Anna Anderson as a catcher, and Jobey Malone as an infielder. Lower was a first year starter as a sophomore and tossed 98 2/3 innings in the circle compiling a 5.04 ERA, 81 strikeouts, and having an opponent batting average of .237. She also led the team with a .466 batting average and 16 RBI. Anderson got on base 44% of the time, brought in 10 tallies, and had five extra base hits. Malone concluded the year with a .390 average, had 13 RBI, and hit two home runs. Keely Malone and Melina Oepping were named honorable mention. Malone had a .279 OBP and collected 14 RBI while Oepping registered a .365 BA and scored 18 times.
WMU finished the summer 7-10 overall and sixth in the north division.
