The Washington County Fair will end today, and after six days of events at the main grandstand, everything will wrap up with a motocross race at 7 pm. According to Kurt Dallmeyer of the Washington County Fair Board, the construction of the track didn’t start until after the demolition derby, and the process usually takes a full day of work. Because of the tight timeline for building the track, the layout is not fully known until after it is built.
Dallmeyer talked to KCII about what the crowd can expect from the fair finale. “It features all kinds of motorcycles and four-wheelers, with competitors of all ages from six years old all the way up to the local professionals.”
Entry for the Motocross race is covered with the purchase of a fair ticket, and Lew-E’s Comedy Circus will be performing during the intermission.
