The Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team was recognized recently by the Southeast Iowa Superconference with four selections to their All-Conference teams.
Senior Esther Hughes was a unanimous first-team All-Conference outfield pick. Hughes hit .312 in the recently completed season with 20 total hits, 21 runs scored, best on the team and 10 RBI.
Freshman Malia Yoder was a second Superconference selection at shortstop. She led the team and was 10th in the Superconference with a .437 average. Yoder finished with a team best 31 hits, scored 16 runs and drove in 13. She had a team high 11 stolen bases and also pitched 15 innings with a 10 ERA.
Raven seniors Grace Miller and Norah Yoder were both honorable mention picks. Miller hit .357 with 20 total hits, a team leading 14 RBI and scored seven runs. Yoder carried a .279 average at the plate with 18 total hits, 10 runs scored and seven RBI. She led the team from first base with a .971 fielding percentage.
Hillcrest ended the season with a 4-19 overall record, their most wins since 2017.
