The National Weather Service has released its Climate Outlook Forecast for the Central Region from August to October. Most of Iowa is forecasted to receive below-average rainfall, and above-average temperatures are also predicted across the state. The seasonal drought outlook favors warmer and drier than average conditions with continuing impacts across the state. Soil moisture levels were also released for June, with Southeast Iowa registering soil conditions slightly drier than usual.
