The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call from the Des Moines County Jail about an inmate in their custody that was wanted out of Washington County for possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a Class D Felony.
Thirty-year-old Jacob Lee Goble of Burlington was initially arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department in Ainsworth on March 14th after a glass pipe and a baggie of what was determined to be methamphetamine were discovered in his car during a traffic stop. A bench warrant was issued on July 22nd after Goble failed to appear for his sentencing hearing.
Goble was arrested by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office on July 25th after the officers recognized Goble driving and knew he didn’t have a valid license. Goble has been transferred to the Washington County Jail and has been issued a $5,000 cash or surety bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
