The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about an ongoing robbery at the Walnut Tower Condos in Riverside. Fifty-year-old Trevor James Gast and thirty-six-year-old Bridget Elaine Dual were arrested for third-degree theft, a Class D Felony. According to the incident report, the couple found an unlocked side door to a residential garage attached to one of the condos on the property. The condo’s resident spotted the pair on security camera footage and alerted the Sheriff’s Office about the ongoing robbery.

The responding Sheriff’s Deputies were shown the video of the robbery before arriving and identified both Dual and Gast on arrival at the scene. Dual was found hanging around the parking lot, and Gast was spotted walking away from another garage on the property.

Both subjects were detained, and under Miranda, Gast admitted that he and Dual went into the garage to see if there was anything they could steal to sell to buy drugs. Gast also stated that he and Dual went into this same residential garage on July 14th and stole a black motorcycle helmet and a drill.

Both Gast and Dual were transported to the Washington County Jail and were each issued a $5,000 cash-only bond, and their initial hearing is set for August 5th at 11 am at the Washington County Courthouse. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
