The Washington County Auditor’s Office is now accepting nomination papers for non-party offices, which will appear on the November 8th ballot. The deadline for filing is August 31st at 5:00 pm. Terms for the county hospital board, agricultural extension council, and soil conservation commission will be filled at the election, as well as Brighton Township Clerk/Trustee and Clay Township Clerk/Trustee. A term of service is four years for the hospital board, extension council, and soil commission. Township office terms are also four years each.
Individuals interested in running as independents for the offices of County Attorney, County Recorder, County Treasurer, and County Supervisor for districts three and five also have until August 31st to file nomination papers with the County Auditor’s Office.
