The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce in association with Jefferson County Farm Bureau and Agri Industrial Plastics is sponsoring the Barnyard Bash at Maasdam Barns in Fairfield on Friday, September 9th, at 4:30 p.m.
Executive Director of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Mendy McAdams shares what families can expect at this free event, “There’ll be all kinds of interactive things for everyone. We’ve got a giant bubble pool. They’ll be putting up some hay, They’ll be some animals to pet. There will be helicopters, ambulances and fire trucks, they’ll make rope and the cattlemen and the pork producers will be there with a meal.”
Maasdam Barns will have staff ready to answer questions and discuss farming with the visitors. A feature unique to the location is a working windmill, and a demonstration of that windmill will be part of the fun.
