There is a free field day scheduled Wednesday, September 14th, from 10 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at the John Murry Farm north of Wapello for anyone wanting to learn more about strip-till and improving soil health.
Field Day presenters include; NRCS Area Soil Health Specialist JD Hollingsworth, discussing soil health, a roundtable strip-till discussion with area farmers- Jeff Olson, Andy Grimmer and Bob Utter, and Tim Knutson will discuss Camelina, commonly known as false flax, as a cover crop. 

The John Murry Farm is located at Highway 61 North of Wapello, West on K Avenue and the field will be
approximately 3.8 miles on the right.
