Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Washington County is getting ready to celebrate two milestones at the Southeast Research and Demonstration Farm in Crawfordsville. Thursday, September 8th, from Noon-4 p.m., they will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Research Farm with an open house and  ribbon cutting for the new Research & Learning Center. Many dignitaries are scheduled to attend, including President of Iowa State University Wendy Wintersteen.

Field Agronomist for Iowa State University Extension of Washington County Rebecca Vittetoe shares how to be a part of the celebration, “It is free, we just want people to come out and help us celebrate the farm’s 35th anniversary and then also to thank everybody who really helped us in building the new research and learning center at the farm. It definitely was a lot of people who helped to support that to make that building happen.”

The Southeast Iowa Research & Demonstration Farm is located at 3115 Louisa-Washington Road near Crawfordsville.
The Cattlemen will be serving a complimentary lunch. While the event is free, you are encouraged to RSVP by September 6th. Click here to register.
