A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Country Club View subdivision just south of the Washington Country Club on August 23. The first phase of the development will feature 31 residential lots with two bedrooms and bathrooms, with the option for a two or three-car garage. Prospective homebuyers will also be able to customize their floorplans with the developers after buying a lot.

Jeff Hazelett, a Realtor and Broker Associate with Elliott Realty Group in Washington, talked with KCII about the importance of keeping this development as local as possible. “It’s important to us because it’s happening here in Washington. I think that it’s important for local businesspeople to support each other. The buy local motto is going to ring true for this subdivision because it’s going to touch so many people that are involved here in Washington. Every time you hire someone in Washington, they are spending their money in Washington, and that just affects so many people.”

The new street added to the subdivision during the development will be Augusta National Blvd. which will run westward off the existing County Club Rd.
