The City of Keota will be celebrating its 150th birthday June 8-11, 2023. In preparation, several fundraising events are scheduled in anticipation and preparation of the Sesquicentennial Event.
One special fundraising event, a Poker Run,  is scheduled for Saturday, September 10th. It Will start in Keota at Lagos Acres Country Club with registration at 10 a.m. The run will start at 11 a.m. Cost is dependent on how many hands of cards participants want to purchase. Cost for the first hand is $20. Subsequent hand purchases will be at a special rate.
One of the Poker Run Organizers Gina Bennett shares in addition to motorcycles, what other types of vehicles are invited to attend, “Well yes, motorcycles, but we also welcome cars, motorcycle trikes, the only thing that  we would  ask is that people don’t bring Rangers or ATV’s. But we certainly encourage people to jump in their cars and join in with the motorcycles.”
