The Washington County Sheriff’s Department arrested forty-nine-year-old Jason Scott Kirk of Ainsworth on a Department of Criminal Investigation warrant for gambling- false claim of winnings.

According to Iowa Law, anyone who claims, or attempts to claim, collect, or take, an amount of money or thing of value of greater value than the amount won has committed a Class D Felony. If convicted, Kirk will be barred for life from gambling structures under the jurisdiction of the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.

At the time of his arrest, Kirk also had additional warrants out of Washington County for trespassing first offense and second offense. Scott has been transported to the Washington County Jail and has been issued a $6,300 cash-only bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
